Duties and Responsibilities:
An acupuncturist is a complementary health practitioner who takes a holistic approach to the health and management of disease, with a focus on improving overall wellbeing. It is an ancient Chinese holistic therapy based on the theory that the body depends on life energy. They work in one-to-one consultations, using their skills and knowledge to treat a wide range of health problems. Their tasks include:
·         Keeping patient and financial records
·         Taking a pulse and examining the tongue to aid diagnosis
Salary: the median salary ranges from $17,472 to $344,864
Education:
They should finish an entry level education (diploma from an acupuncture school) and should graduate from an accredited or allopathic medical school. The acupuncture should have a license from the national Certification for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
