Student Success Statement
“If you want to achieve
excellence, you can get there today. As of this second, quit doing
less-than-excellent work.”
Thomas
J Watson
Thomas is saying that you can achieve excellence whenever
you want but to do so yo need to stop doing something that won’t get you there
and that isn't as excellent. He means that stopping something that isn’t part
of your excellence is better because that won’t stop you/slow you down. Do not
quit on something you just need to achieve something to make you feel better
and know that you can do anything to get there. You can get anywhere today; all
you need to do is stop the things that are not important to you. Things like achieving
something is important to a person because then you will know that you tried
your best in achieving that goal. For example, a lot of people give up on their
dream because they have problems but those people did not quit the less
excellent work because they thought that was important, and now that their older
they think they can’t. But you can achieve it anytime you want to.
