and Responsibilities:
Ophthalmologists
are physicians who specialize the treatment of eye disorders and the diseases. They
treat the vision problems and write prescriptions for pharmaceuticals and
correct eyeglass lenses. They can also perform surgery towards the eye. Ophthalmologists
have private practices, however they can also be employed by hospitals,
clinics, and others can do research.
Salary:
$90,000-$150,000
Education:
Only
physicians can study to be an Ophthalmologist. Once you complete medical school
and an internship, you must complete an Ophthalmologist approved program for
three to five years. Once all of this is done you must pass an examination to
become certified.
