Pharmacist

Pharmacist
Duties and Responsibilities:
A pharmacist prepares prescription written by physicians, dentists, and other practitioners. They review the prescriptions and then prepare the medication. This involves weighing, measuring, and mixing drugs.  When the compounds are prepared the pharmacist can then dispense them to the customers. They answer questions that the patients have about the drugs that are being taken in. In some cases the pharmacist are responsible for inventory of the drugs on the shelves and the ordering of any drug that they are running low on. They work in hospitals, clinics, health departments, universities, grocery, drug, and the discount stores. The ones who work in the stores must be careful of the other health supplies that are available in the store that way they do not direct customers in the wrong direction.
Salary: $33,000-$51,000
Education:
If students want to become a pharmacist they should take the most challenging high school classes in AP or IB classes that are available in English, science, and math. All pharmacists must graduate from a college. Most of the pharmacy schools require that the applicants take the Pharmacy College Admissions Test and though some require up to two years of pre-pharmacy education. Some other colleges will admit students directly from high school. It takes at least five years to earn a pharmacy degree. To earn a doctor degree or pharm D it requires at least six.
Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?

Think I would like to become a pharmacist because I would enjoy yo help patients in their needs.
